Annual allowances by Deutsche Bank enable the fund to engage in broad-based scientific sponsorship.
The Stiftungsfonds Deutsche Bank was set up in 1970 on the occasion of Deutsche’s 100th anniversary and endowed with 10 million Deutsche marks. In 1995, marking the bank’s 125th anniversary, the fund was provided with an additional 10 million Deutsche marks.
The Stiftungsfonds Deutsche Bank currently has an endowment of some 11 million euros.
From its founding until 2016, the Stiftungsfonds Deutsche Bank has earmarked funding of around 158 million euros for scientific purposes.
